Saturday, February 9 - Arrival in New York and Welcome Reception
~ Depart from your hometown for New York City.
Manage your own transportation, or let us assist you in arranging air
tickets and airport/hotel transfers. Upon arrival in New York, check into
our great hotel: The 4-star New Yorker which is located just one block from the
evening dog show activities, has two great on-site restaurants, and is where
many of the show dogs stay! This is a great location offering lots of pre and post dog
show interaction.
After you’re settled in, enjoy the sights of the city as you choose…
select from the Statue of Liberty, Ellis Island, explore Greenwich Village
or the art galleries in SoHo, shop Fifth Avenue, enjoy fabulous Central Park,
hit the museums – this city has something for everyone and the professionals
at Huron Tours will assist with your New York City plans.
This evening join your fellow Huron Tours travelers for our included welcome reception.
This event is a wonderful chance to mingle and enjoy some good company complete with
hors d'oeuvres and drinks. Afterward, the evening will be free to explore the city,

Exclusive Private City Tour and Lunch at Katz's Deli
~ Today is a special day organized just for Huron Tours' travelers!
We’ll start with a city tour on our private, deluxe motorcoach to see some
of the best highlights of New York. During our morning guided city tour
you’ll see Wall Street, the Twin Towers site, Battery Park, Greenwich Village,
Chinatown, Little Italy, Fifth Avenue, Times Square, The Empire State Building,
Central Park, and lots more! Before we end our day you’ll enjoy lunch
in our favorite New York deli, Katz’s Delicatessen, made famous by the
“I’ll have what she’s having” scene from When Harry Met Sally. This is a special
catered event in the deli - something many New Yorkers would gladly give an arm for (and
when you see the lines you get to SKIP, you'll understand why).
We’ll finish our tour in Times Square just in time for the matinée Broadway
performances. We can purchase excellent advance tickets
for you for Wicked, Mamma Mia, The Jersey Boys, Billy Elliott or any

Westminster Kennel Club Dog Show Attendance
~ Both Monday and Tuesday are Westminster Show days!
Although this year’s activities will take place at two separate locations,
Piers 92/94 and Madison Square Garden, we’ve made transferring easy with our
all day private shuttle service. You can see the dogs compete at the Piers
during the morning and afternoon and then be transferred back to your hotel at any time you wish.
For the evening sessions we’ll escort you over to Madison Square Garden to catch all the action.
Because we have been working with the Westminster Kennel Club for so many years, we are able to
provide you with excellent seats for all the showings, including the nationally televised
Best in Show on Tuesday evening.
Westminster is just as good as you expect it to be and better!
It is a dog-lovers paradise as you can meet the dogs and
handlers in the benching area, watch all the dogs being
groomed and shop in the huge marketplace. The different
venue for judging during the day means a larger entry limit and
even more dogs for 2013! You’ll feel the excitement as more than 3,200
winners compete and the 28 Best of Breeds are selected, whittled down to the
7 Best in Group and then finally only the top dog remains! What a treat to see it all in person.
Included with your package is the official Westminster Program to follow all the
competition as well as dog breeder and handler details Wednesday, February 13 -
Departure day - or extend your stay with our special Westminster hotel pricing.
~ Unfortunately, all good things must come to an end, and today we depart
for home with memories of a most special visit to a city at a very special time.
