For Dog (and New York City) Lovers A complete travel package highlighting America's greatest dog event, from only $1,029. Saturday, February 7 ~ Depart from your hometown for New York City. Manage your own transportation, or let us assist you in arranging air tickets and airport/hotel transfers. Upon arrival in New York, check into one of our great hotels, the 4-star New Yorker or the Residence Inn Marriott. (The New Yorker Hotel will complete a stunning $65 million refurbishment September 2008.) After you’re settled in, this afternoon we’ll walk over to watch and enjoy “dog arrival day” at the hotel where most of the dogs stay. Just a short walk and a barrel of fun! Or enjoy the sights of the city as you choose… select from the Statue of Liberty, Ellis Island, explore Greenwich Village or the art galleries in SoHo, shop Fifth Avenue, enjoy Central Park, hit the museums – this city has something for everyone! This evening join your fellow Huron Valley travelers for our included welcome cocktail party. It’s a wonderful chance to mingle and enjoy some good company complete with hors d'oeuvres and drinks. Afterward, the evening will be free to explore the city, have a light dinner, or catch a Broadway show. Sunday, February 8 ~ Today is a special day organized just for Huron Valley travelers. We’ll start with a city tour on our private, deluxe motorcoach to see some of the best highlights of New York. During our morning guided city tour you’ll see Wall Street, the Twin Towers site, Battery Park, Greenwich Village, Chinatown, Little Italy, Fifth Avenue, Times Square, The Empire State Building, Central Park, and lots more! Before we end our day you’ll enjoy lunch in our favorite New York deli, Katz’s Delicatessen, made famous by the “I’ll have what she’s having” scene from When Harry Met Sally. We’ll finish our tour in Times Square just in time for the matinee Broadway performances. Wednesday, February 11 ~ Unfortunately, all good things must come to an end, and today we depart for home with memories of a most special visit to a city at a very special time.
